Disable Media Remove Request on Backup Exec

November 27, 2014 By Damitha Anuradha Leave a Comment

Once a backup job is completed Backup Exec prompts Media Request dialog box and we requires to click Respond OK to remove the media. Until we respond to this notification the media will not be removed.

To configure Backup Exec to remove the media automatically, go to Configuration and Settings -> Alert and Notifications -> Alert Categories.

Select Media Remove and set the Automatically clear after settings as below.
