Microsoft Exchange Server, Best Practice Analyzer Site folder server deleted.
The site-wide public folder database for administrative group “First Administrative Group” has been deleted. Current public folder store: “<Public Folder path>”.
Open ADSI Edit. (Run -> adsiedit.msc) Action -> Connect to -> Select “Configuration” from the Select a well known Naming Context.
Expand following nodes in the container.
CN=Configuration,DC=<DomainName>,DC=com, CN=Services, CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN=<OrganizationName>, CN=Administrative Groups, CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT), CN=Databases
In the right pane, right-click CN=<PublicFolderStoreName>, and then click Properties.
Double click the distinguishedName and copy the entire attribute.
Expand CN=Configuration,CN=<DomainName>,CN=com, CN=Services, CN=Microsoft Exchange, CN=<OrganizationName>, CN=Administrative Groups
Right-click the administrative group you want to modify, and then click Properties.
Select the siteFolderServer attribute, then paste the value for the distinguishedName attribute into the value field.
Then click OK.
Exit the Active Directory editor and restart the Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store service on all Exchange Server computers in the site for the change to take effect.
Hi Damitha
Thank you for your insightful post.
I’m wondering if you can help me out with a similar issue
Currently I also have the same issue and have modified as suggested above but I still cannot get the Information Store service to startup, below the error I receive when I try to start it up.
