Open Server Manager and click Add roles and features
Click Next
Select the server from server pool.
Select Web Server role with default configuration.
Select FTP server features.
Click Install.
Now create a folder for FTP server.
And start IIS Manager from the start menu
Right click on the Sites and click Add FTP Site.
Define FTP site name and physical path.
Configure Binding and SSL Settings.
I have created user group (s) like below screen. I am going to allow only FTP Users group to access FTP server folder. And different company groups will have different permission on FTP folder contents.
Add FTP Users group to allowed access list.
Now you are ready to access FTP Server.
Type ftp://ftp server IP or FQDN on internet explorer.
ftp://192.168.1.110
You can also view on explorer. Press Alt and click View, Open FTP site in File Explorer
Connect to the file server from FTP client
There are many FTP clients available to download.
You can set permission for each folder through FTP Authorization
Also you can block specific file types from FTP Request Filtering
When you try to copy filtered file type you will receive below error message.
