Unable to Create Mailbox for existing user in Child Domain

Error: Could not find any available Domain Controller in domain DC=ChildDomainName,DC=domain,DC=local.

Process w3wp.exe () (PID=3652). Exchange Active Directory Provider could not find an available domain controller in domain DC=child01,DC=doitfixit,DC=local. This event may be caused by network connectivity issues or configured incorrectly DNS server. This event may also occur if you have not configured correctly your multiple Active Directory sites.

To fix this issue prepare child domain server to Exchange Server 2010. Insert Exchange Server media and run the below command.

setup.com /preparedomain:child01.doitfixit.local

    It resolved the similar issue in a multidomain-forest with mixed Exchange 2013/Exchange2010 Installations.
