FIX IT: Outlook Automatic Replies (Out of Office) Not working…

June 23, 2011 By Damitha Anuradha Leave a Comment

Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later.

“Anonymous Access” should be enabled in IIS on the EWS virtual directory.
Check DNS Settings
SRV Record:
Service: _autodiscover
Protocol: _tcp
Port Number: 443
Host: mail.domain.com
A Record: autodiscover.domain.com point to mail.domain.com
SAN entry for Autodiscover in Exchange Server.

Modify local host file (To test the issue temporary)
  1. Go to: %systemdrive%:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
  2. Open host file with notepad.exe
  3. Add exchange server IP records.
Eg:
<ExchangeSvrLocalIP> ex1.domain.com
192.168.1.10 ex1.domain.com

<PublicIPAddress> ex1.domain.com
XXX.XXX.X.XXX ex1.domain.com
